Once located across the street from University of Central Florida, Backbooth was previously called the beatnik coffee house, Java Jabbers. Since then it has been located in downtown Orlando for the past six years. Today at Backbooth's you are more likely to see a person slamming down a shot than sipping on a glass of wine. Despite the changes one thing that remains consistent at Backbooth’s is its live music and art. Back Booth continues to host many popular national and regional acts, while remaining a favorite among locals. Backbooth is also known for its dance parties which are some of the most popular in town. In the last six years Backbooth's popularity has soared and was even named one of the best live music venues in the city, according to Orlando Weekly. Backbooth holds around 350 people and features a large stage, a powerful sound and lighting system, a spacious balcony, and back bar area while still boasting the most impressive draft selection in downtown. Backbooth has a very inviting pub like feel and features an Old English decor and includes wood work and dark curtains throughout. Whether you’re looking for an awesome live performance, a rousing rock show, or a night of dancing and drinks there is no better place than Backbooths.
