Originally opened in 1936 Cypress Gardens still features many of it's old attractions but has been updated new thrill rides and a water park for younger visitors. The fun is set along a boardwalk in a theme that remembers the old style amusement parks. There are plenty of heart pounding thrill rides including the world's tallest spinning rapids ride.

Cypress Gardens Adventure Park heads for the final frontier as their fifth coaster, Galaxy Spin, blasts off on Wednesday, August 17th. Galaxy Spin is a spinning mouse coaster, a twist on the more traditional mouse style. Passengers are strapped into cars, not a coaster train and then sent off on an adventure of cosmic proportions! The cars themselves spin as they dip and dive through the hairpin twists and turns of the track, taking passengers on a unique coaster experience.
